Hibikimeguri

A new immersive performance art genre

In Hibikimeguri, classical music is interpreted and presented within an elaborate and quasi-ritualistic context.

Part meditation, part trance, it is like wandering into a dream state steeped in the abstract mist of culture. By popular demand, the genre is now reaching its third production.

*“Pushuké” is the Japanese transliteration of the Ancient Greek word for “Psyche”. In Greek mythology, Psyche, a mortal, survived many trials through the help of the gods in her quest to be united with Cupid. She ultimately achieved apotheosis, becoming a goddess, and is often depicted having the wings of a butterfly.
